A profound conviction prevails among specialists in the security domain that the matter of societal security is of a paramount importance within the State’s concerns and strategic orientations. Indeed, societal security constitutes one of the most essential foundations for achieving sustainable development and fostering comprehensive societal well-being. In pursuit of this objective, the Thematic Research Agency for the Social Sciences and Humanities organises a national workshop dedicated to the foundation of a national research program project entitled:

“Societal Security” on February 25th and 26th, 2025

This national workshop will convene more than 120 participants representing various ministries (inter-ministerial committees), national institutions, and research entities concerned with this subject matter, with the purpose of establishing a comprehensive participatory approach that raises sectoral needs and priorities as the foundation for the elaboration of a national research program project, placing societal issues at the very core of scientific inquiry.

For this purpose, representatives of all stakeholders engaged in the field of societal security (national sectors, laboratories, and expert consultants) have been organized into three thematic workshops:

  • Workshop 01: Humanities and History
  • Workshop 02: Society, Law, and Economy
  • Workshop 03: Education, Culture, and Communication

Concurrently, the Thematic Research Agency for the Social Sciences and Humanities has undertaken the initiative to correspond with all research laboratories in the domain of social sciences and humanities to solicit the engagement of their members and to enrich the project through substantive contributions and dynamic collective participation, ultimately culminating in the formulation of a national research program on: “Societal Security”.
