In addition, you need to remember that the opponent will move throughout the arena, so keep an eye on his position on a regular basis.
Defeat the Templars
You can use all kinds of attacks to deal damage to the Demon's Envy. Of course, you can try to slow it down, deal fire or lightning damage. Of course, keep an eye on your group's health stats and heal them whenever they take damage, and bring them back to life after their health stats are depleted. After you deprive the demon of a quarter of its health, it hides behind a barrier and sends a group of infected Templars on your way. Defeating the Templars is not difficult.
Ignore the changes in the demon's appearance and use the same attacks.
Later in the battle, the Demon of Envy takes the form of your character, which in no way means a change of tactics. Keep using the same attacks as you do. Keep fighting until you kill the Envy Demon, and after winning, don't forget to search the body to collect legendary weapons, among other things.
Try to leave the arena and you will meet the Templars. If Barris has survived, you will talk to him. Otherwise, you'll talk to Fletcher. During the conversation, you will need to make an important decision (it was presented in the screenshot above). You can:

After you return to the Haven war room, listen to the conversations. One of them will be interrupted when Cole enters the room.
